RM Sate Padang and Madurese in DIJ Nothing Certified Halal
Of the many restaurants and Sate Padang in Madura DIJ, not one that is certified halal. In fact, both types of food business is synonymous with Muslim businessmen as the owner. This was revealed Pangkajian Institute of Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI LPPOM) DIJ.
Executive Director LPPOM MUI DIJ Dr. Vishnu Murti Tridjoko complain, although it has been appealed and are working hard to disseminate to employers RM Sate Padang and Madurese in DIJ, until now the response was nil.
"It seems these entrepreneurs underestimate the problems in the product's kosher. Perhaps they also believe that the food it sells is made from kosher ingredients. And what they believed it could not be accounted for if it's not 100 percent through the research process from the LPPOM MUI," he said, yesterday (2 / 2).
Tridjoko say, this condition is very alarming. For, since May 12, 2009 with the birth of Law No. 18/2009 on Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, in it there are articles stating that all poultry products are distributed or sold in Indonesia must be certified kosher. With this rule, means the whole business of food or processed foods that use animal origin foodstuffs such as meat, eggs, and milk must have a halal certificate.
No doubt, the status of halal food is inherent in the Muslim community which has rules about this in the scriptures. But in fact revealed Tridjoko, precisely the awareness to have a halal certificate in food products coming from non-Muslim businessmen.
"They (employers and non-Muslims), it is obedience to seek halal certification is much better from Muslim businessmen. In fact, many of them outside the DIJ who seek the certificate in LPPOM MUI DIJ," added Tridjoko lecturer who also UGM's Faculty of Animal Husbandry. For that very hope LPPOM MUI, entrepreneurs and RM Padang Satay Madura be more aware of the importance Kehalalan of food products it sells.
From the results of the evaluation LPPOM MUI, consumer awareness of the consumption of halal food products also increased. Proven, entrepreneurs reported that the turnover of food products increased to four times after obtaining halal certification. Therefore, most consumers choose products more closely existing halalnya label.
